What wines are available to drink at my event?
For events at Darcie Kent Estate Winery, wines from both the “Darcie” and Darcie Kent Estate Winery portfolio are available. All of these wines are 100% estate grown and bottled.
Darcie and her family work in conjunction with master winemaker Julian Halasz, to craft food-friendly, vibrant wines of the utmost elegance.
The “Darcie” portfolio exemplifies casual elegance. Several of these wines have won top industry awards. This is a great entry-level option that will delight guests and provide a variety of options for many different tastes, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.
This highly acclaimed Darcie Kent Estate Winery portfolio wines are made with the upmost craftsmanship and attention to detail, including a world class oak barrel program. Christian Byard, our Private Events Director, can help you select a custom menu, ranging from bubbly Champagne-style sparkling wine, to tropical, refreshing Sauvignon Blanc to buttery Chardonnay, to big, bold, age worthy Cabernet Sauvignon. This portfolio also includes award winning expressions of Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Rosé. This is the portfolio to impress your guests, and Darcie’s original artwork graces the label of each wine.
Can I serve beer or spirits at my event?
We can serve beer brands of your choice: all beer will be purchased and served by us, and you will take home any unserved bottles or cans. Interested in a full bar? To serve spirits, you must contract with an independent caterer who has a full bar license.
Would a member of your staff conduct a wine tasting or a toast?
We are more than happy to enhance your gathering with a conducted wine tasting or special toast. Reach out to Christina Byard about how to enhance the wine experience and create unforgettable memories at your event.
Is there a minimum amount of wine we need to purchase?
Regarding wine, there is a bottle minimum of 1 bottle for every 2 drinking aged adults. Wine selections must be made from the active wine list on the venue’s website on the day of the event, with applicable discounts applied. Tax, fees, and gratuity are assessed on all purchased wine, and any unconsumed wine may be taken home.
I’d like to hire a caterer. Any recommendations?
We have plenty of caterers that we love to work with. Our top choice is always Zephyr, who have unparalleled experience with our property. They cater our four release parties each year, and have an outstanding menu, curated by chef Jesus Martinez, that will please any gourmet. Zephyr Grill and Bar also has a full liquor license, which means you could add full bar service to your event for an additional cost. Contact Christina Byard for our full list of caterers, which ranges from plated dinner service to food trucks.
Can I arrive early to set up my event?
Set-up at Darcie Kent “Terrace and Green” space is typically allowed from 5:30pm onwards. Do not expect to access this space before 5:30 pm. If you are reserving Bing’s Barn or Almost Famous for a daytime event, set-up can occur as early as 10 am.
Is there a curfew or late fee?
All guests and caterers must vacate the premises by 10:00 pm, and a late fee of $100 per staff member will be charged for every 15-minute increment beyond that time.
